- Abstract：
In this talk I will address the question of the nature of "conservatism" in general and "Chinese conservatism" in particular. In discussing these questions I will address the historical and the philosophical dimension of conservatism and ask the question whether we have neglected this phenomenon and its impact on modern Chinese intellectual life.
